BRILLE is a Research foundation for young Investigators who aim to Look at Longitudinal relationships between structures and functions of the Eye

Eye & vision research is more important than ever. We still do not know why some people become nearsighted and others longsighted. Digitalization in everyday life, at school and at work make increasingly greater demands on eyes & visual function. We do not know the impact this might have on how eyes & visual function develops from early childhood through adolescents, adulthood and in to old age.

BRILLE’s first aim is to build a philanthropic foundation to award young eye & vision scientists with grants for one to three years to enable talented investigators to begin careers as independent researchers.
